Artist Review Today is a collaborative of artists located in the Galleria at Erieview in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. In the two galleries there are all styles of art including photography, sculpture, wood working, jewlrey, painting, sewing, and more. There are over 200 artists represented within Artist Review Today and the group maintains a blog, podcast, magazine, and wiki for communication with you. Artists maintain their own individual pages within the wiki and many have links to other information about them on their own websites or elsewhere on the Internet.

Welcome to DRW Fine Art at Artist Review Today! It would be my pleasure to have you visit my website at http://www.dianerwyant.com/index2.html. There you will be able to view my portfolio, read my bio and artist statements, and register for private lessons or classes at my Avon Lake, OH studio.

Here is the first piece of a new series that I'm working on titled 'Patchwork'. This is another geometric abstract series with pieces in various sizes similar to my 'Cosmic' series. Each piece starts out with its own unique background, full of texture and emotion then the 'patches' are either glazed or bodly applied over top building upon the existing character of the original background. These pieces represent human life in that we all start out unique and as we travel through our life journey we are patched together through our experiences and relationships. We also sometimes cover our past with patches or wear them proudly because we earned these badges through education, service, professional or personal achievements.

Artist Review Today is a new venue dedicated to the art community of Greater Cleveland. Our goal is to uncover the undiscovered talent in our area and bring the artists’ gifts to the forefront with in-depth interviews and powerful images.

Charles Herndon works out of his studios on Kelleys Island in Lake Erie, a sculpture studio built in 1980 and a painting and photography studio built in 2000. His work derives, in large part, from his experience of the natural features and processes he has observed on the island. His sculpture in stone, wood and metal has been a focus for him, as have been painting and photography.

I have studied art and art history for almost 20 years but my love for art began much earlier. My family originated from Italy, two hours east of Rome and I spent a good part of my youth there. I was exposed to art at a very early age, buying my first book on Michelangelo at the Vatican at age 12. I went to Florence, Pisa, Rome, Naples and many other cities as a young girl, and grew a tremendous appreciation for the beauty that surrounded me.
More than anything, I had a sense of national pride, as an Italian, I was so proud of what our country had to offer the world and honored to say the same blood ran through my veins as these talented artists. That led me to study what motivated them, what inspired them, how and why they were driven to create such overwhelming works of art that attracted the entire world. I did not see myself at that young age as an artist, but rather as someone who could teach others about the past.

I recieved my BA in Art History, followed by my MA in Italian Baroque Art. Part of my education was also application, studio classes were pure joy for me, I could paint for hours, anything that came to mind. I'm still a historian, I am an art appriaser by day and by night I paint. In my studio, my daughter helps me pick the colors and I go to work, sometimes she helps me decide the form as she is a very intuitive 5 year old. She has her own place in my studio and she says I inspire her every day.

My work is about color, as we go through our daily lives we are attacked by so many images that they seem like a blur. I take those colors, give them form and when the moment is right, you can step back and recall a day at the park, the beach, the city where all these colors meet. I hope they make people feel good and relaxed but most of all, I want people to always see something new in the piece that they didn't see before. Look up close, take a step back, see it in day light or under your favorite light in the house, find all the colors that come out and enjoy! * For appraisal services visit my web site www.dicellofineart.org

Jay Harmon is an accomplished Musician, Singer, Composer & Arranger & Music Producer . On his CD, his first full-length release, Jay plays Sax, Keyboards, Drums, Electric Bass, as well as Lead & Background Vocals.

He has appeared solo at The Apollo Theater,Mikell's,The Sportsmans's Lounge ,all in NYC,also, at the very first Urban League Family Day in Syracuse NY (1990) .In the mid to late 90's, Jay performed, primarily as a solo artist,in Columbus Oh,moved to Cleveland Oh in 2000,performing in local clubs while overseeing his parents medical care.He buried his parents,his primary musical inspirations in 2003 & 2004.

A native of Erie PA, Lous was educated at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and moved to Cleveland in 1958 where I have pursued a career as a design illustrator and oil/watercolor painter. I currently live in Westlake where my studio is presently located.
